Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and tell you. Every correction we publish is listed here, newest first.
No corrections yet
We haven’t needed to publish a correction so far. That doesn’t mean we’re perfect — if you spot an error in one of our articles, please tell us.
Our corrections policy
- We correct factual errors — wrong names, numbers, dates, quotations, benchmark results or descriptions of events — as soon as we confirm them.
- When new reporting shows an article was wrong, the corrected article must pass a full fact-check again before it is published with its correction note. A correction that doesn’t pass waits for an editor.
- Each correction is added to the article it applies to, with the date, and listed on this page.
- Spelling and grammar fixes that don’t change the meaning of an article are not listed.
- Updates that add new information after a story develops are noted on the article itself, with the date. They are not corrections and aren’t listed here.
- Headline test changes are not corrections: every headline we test must already be accurate.
